Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday here at Peace Lutheran church. We practice open communion, meaning that all baptized Christians are welcome to participate in the Sacrament. If you are unbaptized, but interested in receiving Communion, please contact Pastor Travis Larsen.
LWR Quilters meet most Thursdays at 9:00 AM, in the Fellowship Hall. The group works on cutting blocks, sewing tops and making backs. All the quilts are sent all over the world to those in need of a little warmth and security. Come and join us any Thursday morning. We have a lot of fun. We can always use help.
Faith in Action
The Peace Lutheran Church Card Club crafts birthday, get-well, and other cards for congregation members and shut-ins. The Card Makers meet on the second Saturday of each month at 9:30 AM. handmade cards are available in the Fellowship Hall for purchase to help support the cost of stamps and supplies.
The Wednesday Bible study at Peace goes back many years. While its meeting time and members have changed, it continues to be a dedicated group of faithful people. All are welcome to join in this opportunity to read scripture and share in the wisdom of God's people.
The Bible study meets at the church at 1:05 PM each Wednesday.
The Peace Lutheran Church Choir has been in existence since the formation of Peace Lutheran Church. The Choir provides music for Sunday Worship and for special occasions. The Choir meets at the church to practice on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM, and generally sings on Sundays twice a month from September to May.
The Men’s Fellowship breakfast meets at The Saddle Restaurant on Wednesdays at 6:30 AM. There is a time of devotion after orders are taken and a once a month reminder of our mission project “Bethania Kids” in India.
We offer Family Sunday School complete with opening songs of praise, Bible study and group discussions each Sunday during the school year 10:50 AM- NOON. Children pre-school aged through 6th grade and their parents are welcome. All ages are welcome at the Adult Forum in the Fellowship Hall.
In addition to Sunday Services, the members of Peace Lutheran Church practice faith in many ways.
The Bells of Peace provide music for Sunday Worship and for special occasions. The Bells of Peace has a five octave set of bells and three octaves of chimes. The Bells meet at the church to practice on Sundays at Noon. The Bell Choir generally plays on Sundays twice a month from September to May. Every two years many members participate in the Area 10 Hand Bell Musician's of America Festival.
